As informed previously, Vidyaranya Kannada Kuta has registered with PayPal to allow the organization to accept credit card payments online at its website - actual transactions are done at Secure PayPal site. Along the heels of online movie ticket sales, we have implemented two more options at the organization's website which will allow members and patrons to Register, Pay Membership Dues or Sponsor a VKK Event (or Sangama/Dindima issues) in a fast, secure and easy manner by following simple instructions.

As you are all aware, VKK General Body created the "VKK Ad hoc Committee 06-07" on November 18, 2006 and charged it with certain responsibilities. One of the responsibilities is to scrutinize the current VKK Constitution & Bylaws and recommend amendments to that document.

The current Constitution & Bylaws was last amended in April 2004. This committee has come up with some proposals for amendments. These amendments will be mailed to all the members shortly. Please study these proposals and provide the ad hoc committee with your input in the way of any additions, deletions or changes. Please note that the proposals refer to sections of the current Constitution & Bylaws. The current Constitution & Bylaws was published in Sangama 2004 - Special Issue (pp153-167). The Ad-hoc committee also encourages the members to send their inputs by mail to (Jagannath K. Nayak, Chairperson of the Ad hoc Committee), 2832 S. 10th Avenue, Broadview, IL 60155 or email to Jknayak@aol.com or present them in person to any of the committee members (shown below) at the Youth Night Program on August 18, 2007.

Once they receive your inputs, the committee will consolidate them and present them to the members at an Open Forum meeting . After that, the committee will prepare the final proposals to be presented to the General Body for adoption at our Annual General Body Meeting.

You are all requested to participate in this worthwhile project and provide your positive contribution to make this all-important document a better one.

In addition to a sumptuous eat out, there are many games planned for all age groups.

Bozo Bucket, Basketball, Running, Race, Rotate and Run, Musical Chair, Lemon & Spoon, 3-Legged Race, Tug of War, Volleyball, Badminton, Bingo, Cricket, Kickball, Coloring Competition and more crazy & fun-filled games & activities.

The Picnic Area is Shelter or Grove # 26 in Busse Woods Forest Preserve. The Entrance is located on the west side of Arlington Heights Road between Landmeier Road on the North & Elk Grove Blvd. on the south.
